Good food but not a very convenient location & lost their liquor license :(

So, decided to meet here to grab some grub before the Chocolate Festival at the Denver Merchandise Mart (this place is conveniently located across the street). I stroll in and friends had already started pulling tables together (had a group of about 25 show up). They weren't busy, so we weren't too big a pain in our waitresses' rear.

Unfortunately, it was probably not busy because they had just lost their liquor license, eeek! An entire half of the restaurant that was primarily the bar was closed. But, I can say that my iced tea was tasty (and plentiful, nice large glass that reminded me of a big gulp). I heard good things across the table about the lemonade as well.

My grub was good and cheap. I got a combo with a chile relleno, a beef tostada and a cheese enchilada for only $10 including tax & tip! It didn't come with rice and beans (weird) but it was plenty of food. Good stuff. The chile relleno was unique, it was more like a stuffed green chile wrapped in an egg omelet, not breaded/battered and baked. But, it was quite good. I heard great things about the chicken burrito and enchiladas from those sitting around me.

So, it's kind of out in the boonies, but if you find yourself in the area (maybe for something at the Denver Merchandise Mart), definitely check it out. I don't think I'd drive out there for the grub, but will definitely find myself here when in the area. Fingers crossed they get their liquor license back and we can have tacos & tequila!

We went here a few weeks ago and didn't enjoy the food or service. The restaurant is small, but our waiter seemed overwhelmed with his section. Our order was wrong and he seemed really nervous from the start of the meal through payment. We won't be back.

Stopped there on 9/10/2016 to get breakfast burritos.  All 6 burritos had egg shells in them!  Gross!  Big waste of $21.00!  Could have gone to burger king instead for better quality!

On the plus side, the guacamole was delicious AMD the horchata was tasty and large. My wife split the mixed fajitas. I can and have made better fajitas at home, drunk, and from a package. Very unimpressed by the quality and price. Denver has WAY too much good Mexican food to eat here.
